SSI Decompression Diving Course
As part of your Deep Diving training, you learned about the equipment, skills and knowledge required to safely plan and conduct recreational, no-decompression deep dives. Your deep training give you access to a diverse new range of dive sites that were previously out of reach to entry-level divers, including deeper underwater canyons, archways, towers and artificial features like wrecks. Access to these deeper sites gives you an amazing opportunity, but it comes with limitations, so if you want to safely increase your bottom time, you must expand your training.
Prerequisites
Medical Certification within 12 months.
MINIMUM AGE: 16 Years old.
To enroll in the SSI Open Diver course, you must have 24 log dives, the deep diving and EAN 40 specialities or equivalent from any others diving federations.
After Downloading the MySSI App, you will have to enroll with the Decompression Diving Course, then you will get the digital Learning Material with interactive presentations that include videos, audio, graphics and reading. Short quizzes let you gauge your progress, and review and correct anything you might happen to miss. This lets you move through the program efficiently and at your own pace.
The fun part about this course is that you are going to learn to make accelerated decompression for a maximum of 15 minutes, using 1 stage tank with a Nitrox mix to a maximum of 40% oxygen to a maximum depth of 40 meters.
