Scuba Diver Course
If you’ve always wanted to learn how to scuba dive, discover new adventures or simply see the wonderous world beneath the waves, but you only have a couple of days of your holiday to focus on diving. This is where it starts. The Scuba Diver course will bring you half way to the Open Water Diver course and has introduced millions of people to the adventurous diving lifestyle.
Prerequisites
Medical Certification within 12 months.
MINIMUM AGE: 12 Years old.

The SSI Scuba Diver course provides the knowledge development portion that you need. You develop the remaining skills by actually diving with a SSI Instructor at Scuba Moraira Dive Centre.
After Downloading the MySSI App, you will have to enroll with the Scuba Diver Course, then you will get the digital Learning Material with interactive presentations that include videos, audio, graphics and reading. Short quizzes let you gauge your progress, and review and correct anything you might happen to miss. This lets you move through the program efficiently and at your own pace.
Prior to certification as a SSI Scuba Diver, you’ll visit Scuba Moraira Dive Centre to complete your training. You’ll take a short Quick Review to confirm your understanding of safety-related material from the course and you must successfully complete five confined water dives and four open water training dives with your SSI Instructor.
The Digital Material will be available for one year from the time of course registration. However, you must finish the online portion of the course within that time frame, you will have perpetual access to an online version of the SSI Scuba Diver manual.
The SSI Scuba Diver digital material will take approximately 6-8 hours to complete.
Once you finish the academic portion of the course, your dive centre is notified that you have completed it and that you are ready for the practical phase of the program. At the end of the digital program, you can print out your digital record and bring a copy of it with you to complete your in-water training with us.
The fun part about this course is…well, just about all of it because learning to dive is incredible. You breathe underwater for the first time (something you’ll never forget) and learn what you need to know to become a certified diver. During the course, you’ll make at least five pool dives combined in one pool session and four dives at local dive sites under the supervision of your SSI Instructor.
In the SSI Scuba Diver course, you learn to use basic scuba gear including a dive computer and standard accessories. The equipment you wear will be chosen by a SCUBA MORAIRA Representative to ensure your comfort throughout the course.
